This beautiful Devon country Inn near Exeter with old beams and flagstones is a hidden gem of a bed and breakfast. Specialising in real country cooking, warm hospitality and ‘cooked to order’  breakfasts, the New Inn offers exceptional value!  The Restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and you’ll taste some of the best local food in the area – try Red Ruby Beef, Exe Estuary Mussels or Creedy Carver Duck together with award winning local cask ales like Otter, Legend, Stag or Betty Stogs. The New Inn Coleford, near Crediton with 4 star AA rated bed and breakfast accommodation is steeped in local history. Back in the 15th century, Coleford was on the main highway from Cornwall to Devon and tradition relates that the New Inn provided respite for travelling Cistercian monks. Nowadays guests stay overnight for all sort of reasons and ‘Captain’ our talking Amazon blue parrot has greeted guests for over 40 years.  Nobody is spared his cheeky comments and he just can’t keep a secret! OUR FOOD

The New Inn provides carefully prepared, delicious fresh Westcountry food.

This traditional free house is renowned for its delicious, simple and wonderfully flavoursome food. Everything is cooked by our team of chefs who produce excellent dishes from the freshest and finest ingredients which are delivered daily.

You can eat in the Hayloft restaurant which seats 40 or in the Bridge Bar, the oldest part of the Inn where the cosy fire enhances the atmosphere during the winter months.  In the summer, our secluded garden offers al fresco dining, on the banks of the brook under a large weeping willow tree.

Special dietary requirements can be accommodated; just call to let us know your requirements and we will aim to prepare suitable food which will be tasty and wholesome.  The menu highlights Coeliac gluten free dishes and allergens can be checked.
