The New Inn Coleford is a beautiful thatched pub and restaurant around a 20 minute drive from Exeter and is where you’ll really feel as though you’re in the heart of the Devon countryside.

This lovely freehouse pub is famous for its delicious, simple and wonderfully flavoursome food. Everything is cooked by our team of chefs who produce excellent dishes from the freshest and finest local ingredients which are delivered daily.

You can eat in the Hayloft restaurant which seats 40 or down in the Bridge Bar, the oldest part of the Inn where the cosy log fire is lit during the winter months. In the summer, the beautiful garden offers al fresco dining on the terrace or on the deck by the stream under the gigantic weeping willow tree.

Local food is our speciality; in pursuit of the best Devon sausage, a special journey is regularly made to collect ‘Pork Bangers’ direct from the farm. The tastiest Clannaborough red ruby beef is sourced from a farm only 2 miles away and the Creedy Carver ducks come from 5 miles in the other direction. Succulent mussels from the Teign and Exe estuaries are often on the menu. The fresh and seasonal vegetables are from local Westcountry farms.

Any special dietary requirements can be accommodated; just call to confirm your requirements and the staff will aim to prepare suitable food which will be tasty and wholesome. The menu highlights Coeliac gluten free dishes and allergens can be checked.
